I was very happy to discover that an airline staff person was waiting for me when I got off the plane, having already changed me to another Taipei flight. She explained things and guided me to the right place. She was able to walk amazingly fast for a woman wearing high heels!"

Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. Cons: "They cancelled our flight without informing us from Doha to Miami, so they were going to fly us to Doha at 3 a.m., take us to hotel, and then have us fly the next day. This was the third time this airlines cancelled a flight on us for the same trip. The first two times were traveling from Miami to Delhi, we had to change our itinerary because they cancelled the flight, and we had to fly on different dates. This caused a series of hotel changes and cancellations costing us a lot of money. On the flight that we finally got from Doha to JFK, the man sitting next to me SMELLED LIFE THE FUNK OF 40,000 YEARS. It is unbearable. Thirteen hours of pungent body odor that even the flight attendants acknowledged was horrific. It was a miserable experience flying with this airline for what was to be the trip of a lifetime."

Pros: "I had never heard of Qatar Airways before I booked a 24hr flight to and from Sydney, Australia. I only did this on the suggestion from a friend that stated Qatar Airways was "alright". So for the price I thought what the heck! I was extremely pleased with the service from the cabin crew. They are always polite, professional, and well trained compared to my previous favorites Delta and Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

At the airport in Doha the flight representative went above and beyond to accommodate better seating for myself and my son. Luckily it was not a full flight and lots of the passengers had plenty of space. The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional. I will definitely be giving this airline my hard earned money in the future for reservations as much as I can!!!!"

But what was even worse, is that they didn't allow me to check my bag in the last connection gettting to the US, instead they made me check it from my original destination which made me loose almost two days of work without giving me a logic response on why I couldn't check my bag from my inbound flight to the US. By the way, this protocol from TSA is terrible. No internet in their flights No chargers plugs in all of their flights (including the ones that take you more than 4 hours) Lunch in their 15 hours flight is mediocre, everyone was starving since they only gave us one mini empanada."

A person without the ability to run at full clip would not have made the connection. This was an international flight from Los Angeles - Bags did not make the connection either and had to wait two days for them. If you issue tickets with short connection times, it is your responsibility to make sure passengers will have adequate time to make it to their next gate. Or airline should provide some assistance to these passengers. Making them run is unacceptable."

She left him alone while she went to the bathroom. He flipped out. The cabin crew said they couldn't move me even though there were a few empty seats in the next class up. Small children should be placed with parents in front of the bulkheads so they can't make other traveler's lives miserable as there is no seat in front to kick. It's so annoying to see childless people stretched out in those seats when they are the perfect option for small children who almost always get restless and kick the back of the seat in front. It should be mandatory to place children there."

Sorry. BAGGAGE: The crew took my cabin baggage and placed it in the business class section. When I wanted to take out money from my baggage to buy onflight sale items, I was given a hard time: they were not allowing me to go from the Economy to the Business section! Please explain Emirate's point of asking for seat selection, providing a food choice menu card, allowing cabin baggage when NONE of these are really available!"

But how ever the seats on their A330 was average. But otherwise all was good. I would recommend Cathay."

When I entered the toilet, a used coffee filter was left sitting on the sink, evidently left by a crew member."

After booking through KAYAK for flights, the on-line check-in process was a nightmare with the KAYAK booking number not matching the information required by QANTAS. As my children were all spread over the plane, and two son's look very similar, a hostess almost did not serve one of my son's a meal as she believed my son had already received a meal further forward in the plane. Thankfully, upon checking, the hostess realised that it was a case of mistaken identity."

Pros: "Economy cabin red-eye service Perth to Sydney included sandwich and drink soon after departure, quiet cabin with ample at-seat entertainment for those electing not to sleep on the way, and cold bottle of water immediately upon decent in the morning. Being from the US, the cabin and service level far exceeds domestic service offerings from the large US carriers. Value quickly exceeds that of low-cost carriers, especially as a checked bag is included."
