Cons: "Seat spacing: way too close in economy. When person in front puts seat back, could not stand up to get out of seat. Got leg cramps trying to shuffle out sideways stooped over row of seats in front and rear hitting faces of occupants in my row. Refuse to fly on this airline any more until reasonable seat spacing is provided for price paid. Don't like standing up the whole flight because one cannot get into or out of seat."

Cons: "Filthy toilets at the beginning of the flight. If they were ever cleaned they didn’t get behind the toilet or the walls. The walls stained with something dripping. Paint peeling in toilet. No room at all. I am small and with seat in front pushed back I couldn’t move."

When I would give them my order, they would diaappear, then reappear with the order wrong. On. Every. Single. Occasion.... They were rude and dismissive. Food was barely adequate of what I served."

They were so understanding and told me to find an empty isle seat like I wanted!! They made my flight to Australia so comfortable! My veggies meals were all on time! What happened to biscuits and cheese? Not trendy any longer i presume. Even Qantas serve that! No wine. Again, ridiculous. Condescending stewards, if that's what you are supposed to call them these "woke" days."

Pros: "They charged me so much for extra luggage even I prepaid online for extra luggage prior to getting to airport. Yet the ticket counter lady made me pay an additional fee and all together I ended paying more for extra bags fee than the ticket itself! both Virgin and JetStar are VERY stingy on extra luggage fees. I came from the US to Australia and traveled domestically while there with all the luggage that I brought from the US. So I had to pay so much in fees when my trip was already so expensive! It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Still they charged me for extra luggage. I came international on Qantas from USA to Australia, so all the domestic locations I went to I was charged"

I was unable to check in using the kiosk so I requested assistance from an attendant near the kiosks.The attendant refused to assist me and told me to wait until the other attendant was free. Cons: "Got told to "sit back down and don't worry" when our first flight was delayed, after I asked the lady at the gate that we may miss our connecting flight. She put other customers on different flights to make their connections, but when I approached was denied, and ensured we would make out next flight. Missed the next flight and had to wait another 3.5 hours for the next flight, even after explaining the situation to a gentleman at the customer service desk, he said he could not help us, and gave my partner and i am $8 food voucher while we waited as a 'sorry'. Then on the way home another 30 min delay. horrible first experience flying, Was very disappointed in the customer service & missed my brothers wedding. I should have booked Qantas instead of Virgin."

Cons: "there were not enough desks to check in at brisbane so many people missed there connecting flights. I flew with Delta and the process was much easier. Simply just dropped my bags off. Was also told the flight was being held, then when I arrived at the desk was told my bags wouldn't make it on the plane."

The picture in the back of the menu of the free snacks included a gluten free option so we were a bit annoyed that this wasn't available."

Pros: "All stages went well, which is just what we wanted after a very early start. We just wanted to get home with the minimum of fuss....and that's exactly what happened. Plenty of notice was given about the change of departure gate so that wasn't a problem. Friendly staff, nice snack and a good cup of coffee to keep us going."

Cons: "Appalling that in this day and age, Virgin does not cater for gluten intolerance. It's not hard to have meals without wheat, yet there's never a gluten free option even when there are non-Pasta based dishes such as curries and stir-fries. Gluten intolerance is so common these days so it's unbelievable that Virgin doesn't try to ensure at least one of the dishes doesn't have wheat/gluten. A 5 hour trip to/from Perth to Brisbane is a very long time to have no savoury meals. I never thought I'd say this, being a loyal Virgin flyer; Qantas is looking more appealing as they cater for GF meals Alim domestic flight and have started to improve their customer service."
