Pros: "They charged me so much for extra luggage even I prepaid online for extra luggage prior to getting to airport. Yet the ticket counter lady made me pay an additional fee and all together I ended paying more for extra bags fee than the ticket itself! both Virgin and JetStar are VERY stingy on extra luggage fees. I came from the US to Australia and traveled domestically while there with all the luggage that I brought from the US. So I had to pay so much in fees when my trip was already so expensive! It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Still they charged me for extra luggage. I came international on Qantas from USA to Australia, so all the domestic locations I went to I was charged"

I understand this is not something the airline can manage but here should be standards for boarding passengers. It is difficult situation I realise, but I was across the isle from a person with incredibly poor personal hygiene and the smell was almost unbearable."

No big deal. But besides those little details, it's an overall unpleasant experience and even a bit sinister they way they cut corners. They seem to be cutting corners on safety with their taxiway and parking procedures much like Ryanair. I was swiftly reprimanded for taking some perfectly innocent photos of the plane (like every holiday goer does), because the pilot didn't want any 'trouble'. Whatever the reason for that immediately defensive reaction, it's not a good sign. jetstar has a bad record of safety as we all know."

Apparently if you "wear" your luggage on your body, it's free of charge (but on aggregate, it still adds to weight & balance of the plane). And how this all contributes to fast handling is beyond me. Moronic rules! Of all the great times I had in Australia, JetStar was the only utter disappointment I had to endure! Never again!"
