Cons: Flight was 4 and 1/2 hours late. While we waited 3 flights departed on time to our destination Sydney. Neither the pilot nor the cabin manager made any acknowledgement of our inconvenience ....just "thank you for flying with us". Appalling lack of sensitivity or decency. They are apparently oblivious to their contribution to JetStar's poor reputation. Someone else's fault no doubt!

Pros: That the flight was on time and the baggage arrived quickly.

Cons: Bag check was difficult. I neglected to purchase my one bag’s space in the hold either because I forgot or neglected this task. Nevertheless, when I tried to purchase the checked bag, I was misdirected twice and separate scales were 7kilos apart! Thus my “budget airfare” from Sydney to Coolangatta was $94, my checked bag in the other direction cost $124! This was the only hiccup, but the bag check process was unnecessarily expensive, unwieldy, and confusing.

Cons: I have put past a lot of things that jetstar airlines have done in the past, including the 140$ that I had to pay to change and pay to rebook or pay to cancel and there were no given supports with credits, so I ended up abandoning the flight altogether losing the money. I flew jetstar from Sydney to Sunshine Coast with my backpack a personal bag and a tote bag. I had previously paid 20$ for checked luggage. Making my total for the flight 80$ no one asked to weigh my bags or questioned them. Making the 20$ extra just disappear? . They did make me throw out my beverage upon entered the aircraft that I just purchased, I would assume because it’s a ‘safety issue’ even though the airline does not give complimentary anything so I’m assuming it’s mostly competition of sales.In Gold Coast I checked my bags through security got to the gate and they had a trolly weighing bags. They asked me if I was traveling with someone else which I replied with a no. They then weighed my backpack saying it was 7kgs and I had to come with them to the front. So my backpack personal item and tote bag was too much all of a sudden. I offered to give up the tote bag which then turned the situation into that all of my bags were over weight and it was going to charge me 60$ for my 7kg backpack. I said 60$ was expensive and I paid 20$ last time for my checked bags on the way here that I hadn’t used and he said too bad. Meanwhile the majority of people boarding past me had had rolling luggage and an additional bag or a personal item and when I said something to the employee he told me I’m wrong and they were all weighed and it’s 60$ for my belongings to be checked and put under the plane? Because 60$ somehow made the weight of the flight more light? Horrible customer service. I didn’t get I’m sorry any compassion I got what are you paying with? I paid 60$ or miss my flight. 60$ could have given me one more flight. Also to mention the flight was not even completely full so what did that 60$ accomplish? Awful awful awful . So in the future I suppose I’m just going to donate 20$ regardless if I have checked luggage or not because paying for everything is the only consistent thing on jetstar. On the positive side they let me jump the line after I paid 60$ for my “overweight luggage” and I got to my assigned seat more quickly.

Cons: I tried to purchase a check bag online, however they wouldn't accept my credit card as it didn't have an Australian address. At the airport I had to pay $75 for my bag, never got a receipt, they had trouble with their machines, so I'm surprised I got my bag in the end. I have been unable to contact customer service to issue a complaint.

Cons: Checking in staff insisted that I check my 2nd bag even though it is within the carry-on bag limits.

Pros: The entire service is great I'd be happy to pay more for a flight with virgin then any other airline

Pros: When boarding the plane I enquired about headphones. The flight attendant told me they don't usually give out headphones on my particular flight, however 15 minutes into the flight she walked past and had a pair for me to use. I was really impressed by the level of service and the fact she remembered where I was sitting. Great customer experience!

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff on board. Easy check in and boarding. Slight departure delay but arrived on time.

Cons: Food options aren't great or cheap, but it's a budget airline so what do you really expect? Same goes for baggage. 7kg carry-on isn't a lot but prepare for it properly and you'll have no problems - you can't complain when you're charged for being a few kilos over.

Pros: Have flown with jet star and I always have a great flight and I really enjoy how amazing the flight crew always are. Will continue to choose Jetstar for my domestic flights.

Cons: This is the cheapest company I ever used. During the booking process they did not mention that they have a 7 kg limit on carry on items. This is not the case when you attempt to book a flight within Australia; clearly deceiving foreign travelers. In any case, I paid extra $24 to check in a (20 kg) bag. When arrived to the airport I voluntarily weighted the hand bag which was 8.2 kg. I explained that I am an international traveler with no mean of exactly weighing the bag. They insisted on checking in the extra bag and charged me additional $50 to do so. With those hidden fees, I ended up paying more for the flight than the competitors. During the flight, they offer nothing for free (not even water or coffee).

Cons: The staff and bag weigh system preflight. Passengers were all shaking their heads and made the mood of flight terrible. I hope your brand dies!
