Also at check in we were inline for 2 hours just to let us know we couldn’t fly out they should have a Monitor saying “ ATTENTION PASSENGERS IF YOU DON’T HAVE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS IN HAND YOU CANNOT A BOARD.” So that people didn’t half to stay in line for so long."

Cons: "My son & I traveled together on a trip from Manila to USA in Taipei. We had a 3 hour transit time, and waited by the gate of the flight from Taipei to USA. To exercise, I left the gate and walked around the terminal. Coming back to the gate, I could not enter because the ground stewardess blocked the entrance to the gate. I had to wait for 30 minutes until I finally was able to sneak thru the rope barrier that was placed there after the stewardess left. Then when I was confronted again, I explained my situation and this time she let me through to join my son, who was at the gate all this time."
Pros: "This was a two-level plane and I was given a seat on the second floor. The second floor was quieter and I had a lot of leg room which made the long flight very comfortable."
Cons: "The flight was delayed approximately 2.5 hours. We boarded the flight and then sat in the plane as repairs were being made. The problem was "water leakage" and the restrooms were being worked on. Many people still used the restrooms while they were under maintenance. I'm unsure if that is what slowed down the repairing process, but if the plane was being repaired, I would rather not sit on the plane during the 2+ hour process."

I stayed at the airport to make sure I wouldn't miss it and the crew doesn't even start setting up until an hour prior... they don't start boarding until 30 minutes prior.... so they 100% sold my seat and then charged me to rebook it. They turned me away when I could have been at the gate 50 minutes prior, well before boarding"
Pros: "Two security checks, one at the door of the plane where they take bottles of water that have been purchased after passengers have passed through immigration and security make boarding very slow. There is no priority for Premium. The staff are efficient but service is basic. No sign of staff except when they are serving food. Seats are fine for a day flight. The food is very ordinary and some dishes were not available."

Cons: "To the guy in 26G, it was incredible how you ignored three flight attendants when they asked you to put away your laptop. You were so obsessed with your own self interests that the general safety of your fellow passengers was not important. That must have been some email that you had to keep typing even as the plane was pulling away from the gate. So important in fact that you didn't touch your laptop for another two+ hours. But you did get it out again and proceeded to pull the same stunt as we descended. Stunning behaviour. I enjoyed how you convinced the crew to put your laptop in the overhead bin both times. I believe the clincher was the four carry on bags you had with you. Priceless. Guess you should be grateful you weren't on a US domestic flight. But I'm sure you would have turned the story away from you and on to the crew."

The flight attendants were also really conscientious but also discrete about making sure that things were comfortable to passengers, for example making sure that windows were closed most of the time and lights were down so that people could sleep in between meals, and moving someone that was sick to a more comfortable and private seat, both for the sake of the sick individual and for the comfort of the people that had initially been sitting around them. -The complementary movie options were great and really helped pass the time on the 24+hr flight from NYC to Western Australia. -1 free large checked bag, which was very nice. -I think the complementary food and snacks were really yummy and generous, for airline food. I very much enjoyed the meals and snacks. Also, the complementary wine was a nice treat and tasted surprisingly good. -The complementary pillows and blankets were nice, warm, and soft. -The flights were on time, much better than American airlines that I've flown on. -The bathrooms were cleaned regularly throughout the flight and were much cleaner and nicer smelling than other airlines that I've been on."
Cons: "The only thing thing that could really be improved upon (which is not as much the airline's fault as the plane manufacturer's fault) is that the economy seats and cabin layout could be more comfortable for long flights. I understand how hard it must be to design a plane that fits that many people and that's comfortable for 24+hrs of flying, but a few improvements could relatively easily be made I think, which would improve the experience dramatically: -If the seats were softer (and perhaps more ergonomically designed with an average person's shape in mind) it would make a world of difference, I think. -Being able to put the arm up on the wall side of the window seat would make it much more comfortable. -Padding on the arms would also help. -Of course more leg space and wider seats would make a world of difference, but I know that is tough to do since space is limited."

The meal options are better out of Singapore than coming in to Singapore, The "order ahead" breakfast concept, where you place your order for breakfast when you board has it pros and cons. The personal service is nice, but one needs to know almost 12 hours ahead of time what they feel like eating. Overall a positive, but for me, it's hard for me to anticipate my appetite. It was my first A380 flight (together with the Sydney - Singapore leg), and overall I was disappointed relative to the Dreamliner. Yet it stands out as a positive the way that Qantas has configured business class on the upper deck. It's quite peaceful."

The flight got to London with a delay of 2 hours 20 min, because they made us wait 2 hours 20 min more than planned in Dubai, where incidentally all the other Emirates flights had no delay, only our Qantas one. This made me lose my next flight (to Luxembourg) and have to pay for a new flight and stay that night in London. Since I had booked them separately, no one helped or offered any compensation."

I was a little worried about the 14 hour trip since I am 7 months pregnant and wanted to be sure I had enough room to move about as needed. Both the desk and plane staff arranged for my husband and myself to have 4 seats to ourselves (luckily, it wasn't a full flight!) which allowed me to rest and put my feet up (literally!) through our long journey. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable throughout. Thanks so much Qantas, we will definitely be traveling with you again with our little one in tow!"
