Virgin's standard ticket has 23kg luggage included. What is the problem with a ticket bought online through agents such as BYOJet and Kayak?"

The flight attendants were incredibly friendly and courteous and were actually surprised when we only ordered one drink and one meal at a time! The food was phenomenal, especially for an aircraft meal, and no matter what I was in the mood for, they had it."

The time flew because by the time the movie had finished, we were starting to descend. I will always look for this flight with Emirates. There is no other flight in comparison, in what you get for your Buck. I believe that other Airlines, ie., Qantas, Virgin Aust, both give you a flight and service, for nearly the same fare but you only get 7kg luggage, no meal just the basic entitlement, tea/coffe/water with a biscuit or something like that and NO ENTERTAINMENT, NO COMPARISON!!!!"

The service was not as expected, took me more than 25 min to get a flight attendant to reach my seat to request a glass of water... when I went to the back of the plane to get water I was told to get back to my sest since seatbelt sign was on (it happend to be turned on for 12 hrs over a 14hr flight... Other than that service is better, than modt of US airlines. I flight frequently and I have boarded Emirates before, economy and business, I feel that they do not deserve best airline qualification for economy, fir example KLM is much better."

The asian noodle what they provided upon request, was not sufficiant neither fit to the rank of the airline."

Cons: "Emirates baggage on board policy is a bit strict compared to most of the other Asian and American flights I've been on. Usually I'm allowed a regular carry-on and a personal item (i.e., a small backpack), but Emirates was very strict on the personal items. Personal items are limited to only Business and First Class passengers. Also, they were extremely strict about the size of my carry-on. As someone who has been on 20+ flights in this year alone, few of them being budget airlines (which are generally very strict), I had no issues whatsoever with the size of my carry-on until I flew with Emirates."

NO COMPENSATION / NO APOLOGIZES Going back from Karachi to Washington DC, passenger besides me had a child in his lap throughout the flight. That passengers arm and legs were in my part of the seat throughout the flight. I could not sit or eat or relax. The child in the lap kept on touching me and the food I had on the tray as was unable to eat it. I weigh 165 but the seats are so small that one has to struggle. When back Dulles airport, had to weight for 1.5 hours for the bag to arrive @ thanks to big jumbo A380 aircraft. First class were priority. They checked in first, got their luggage first on a different belt, rest were treated like third class people. Never wasting my $ in this airline."

Pros: "A mechanical issue meant our late night Sydney to Honolulu flight was cancelled. As a consequence, we were on the runway from 9:30 until 11:30 while they tried to fix the problem. Then we were at the airport until 1:00 am getting a hotel voucher and re-ticketed. Unfortunately, instead of having a day in Honolulu to deal with jet lag before going on to San Diego, we lost our Hilton reservation in Waikiki. We ended up getting a direct flight to LAX and on to San Diego. I will say the crew attempted to work with us. Daniel made an executive decision and got us on United. But no stopover in Hawaii."

Not sure I had an $850 dollar experience...times 4 people!!!!!!!!"

I think this is an issue with the airport, not the airline but this is the only forum I have to state this. My experience with the crew was amazing. Very welcoming and hospitable. My experience with the airport staff was the opposite. Very unhelpful and cold. The flight went fairly smoothly, but, as is the case with most American airlines these days, the seats are uncomfortable and cramped. The inflight meal was good (for airline food) and very much appreciated on the 6 hour flight. Overall, this was a pretty typical American flying experience. Unfortunately, I was returning from flying with Asian and Australian airlines which were much more comfortable and customer-focused, so my experience on Hawaiian seemed subpar."

If the delay was due to weather or a mechanical issue I would've understood, however one of there crew members calling in sick delays my vacation by a whole day and they say there's nothing they can do. Cons: "Our flight got delayed by 2.5 hrs and there wasn't enough notice in advance to be able to do much about it, so landing at 1am instead of 10:45pm definitely ruined my ride back to toe gon and it ended up costing me $100 that was non refundable and I had tool so pay for a $170 for a hotel. Super frustrating and nothing was done to compensate for this."

I asked hostess what the deal was (because their food service is usually great) and she explained that in this new plane (Boeing 787) they removed a lot of the working areas for the crew. They have less space to work in order to be able to prepare food and drinks compared to Qantas's other planes (Airbus A380). This is also a brand new plane for this crew (literally the first flight for some for some of them), and they didn't know where some of the things on the plane were. I imagine after they've used the plane for a while and learn where everything is, they'll get better. I'll find out on the return flight back to Melbourne."
