Pros: "The crew was nice"
Cons: "The flight was repeatedly delayed and AA isn't social distancing on their planes, causing people to be right next to another person for multiple hours. Even with masks, the risks could be further mitigated if seating was more staggered."

Pros: "Nothing. The plane was late. The WiFi didn’t work. The plane was hot in 90 degree weather and after travelling almost 19 hours I needed a little comfort."

Cons: "The crew on the way to Sydney was a little more present. There was always someone milling in the galley between the business class and premium economy cabin. The crew returning came through the cabin often and were attentive if you asked for them but you had to seek them out."

Cons: "Crew was grumpy and very unhelpful Lots of mechanical delays Kept being assured we would make our connections despite leaving late. In the end we had to change our route in order to have a chance at making it to our destination that day. Even that didn’t work though; we had to spend the night in Charlotte."

Pros: "The business class cabin is one of the best in the business with a great seat and onboard product. The food was good and the snack bar is great for when you need something mid-flight. American has one of the best selections of inflight entertainment with tons of movies and TV shows available for their long-haul flights."
Cons: "Boarding at Sydney International Airport was a bit of a chore. There is a pre-screening area where they check passports and boarding passes prior to reaching the gate. People are randomly selected for secondary screening. Give yourself extra time to board."

To be fair, I may have been asleep but I woke up every time a drink was offered. We came from a connecting international flight with no time to get a meal. We grabbed a bagel as we rushed through the airport. I didn't pick the flight so we couldn't have more time."

Pros: "My wife and I have flown on many airlines. This was one of our best experiences. All the staff that we came across were ridiculously helpful and very understanding. Despite us getting held up in traffic and running quite late, staff members of both American Airlines and Qantas were extremely calming and reassuring the whole way through. Flight was extremely comfortable and entertainment was fantastic. Made the trip really easy."
Cons: "Food wasn't the greatest. Barely touched the breakfast and dinner meal. Supposedly the flight had free wifi, but I honestly couldn't eat that to work for me."

They diid not charge for surfboard, which was great. Plane is smaller than Qantas Airbus 380, so boarding and getting off plane was quicker. Would fly again."

Cons: "Seats are incredibly close to one another. I'm pretty short (5'5") and I felt cramped to say the least. The food isn't great, it's okay but don't expect to be wanting seconds."

Pros: "I loved the Qantas plane that took us from LAX to Sudney. It was so quiet and smooth, and each seat in coach had very slight improvements , such as a head rest that moved, and cushions that atually felt comfortable. I think it was a new Dreamliner or something similar. AA should use these."

Cons: "Food choices were horrible as was the food quality. Especially for an international flight. AA should be embarrassed that this is the level by which they operate. Entertainment systems were faulty. Many around me had to be restarted. And crew seemed tired and irritated. Willing to overlook the chairs that barely reclined but with everything else operating at a poor level, it was just the icing on the cake."

Cons: "One flight attendant spent the majority of the flight flirting with the guy behind me. Another had a voice so loud that I could hear him through my earplugs and Bose headphones while trying to sleep on the overnight flight. I also don't like that I booked with Qantas and ended up on an American flight."

Cons: "My itinerary said 12pm departure from Sydney to Los Angeles. However, the departure time was 10:15am, and not on Qantas airlines, but on American. It was luck I found out about the changed time. Also, since the airline changed, it took extra time to find the correct counter to check-in."

Spent 4 hours on hold with American and Qantas before being rebooked for the following day. Had to pay for another night's lodging and food."

Cons: "I have dietary restrictions and called Qantas and ordered a special meal. Little did I know I was supposed to call American Airlines so I never got a meal I could eat. Apparently Qantas doesn't relay the meal requests to American. Awful service!!"

Cons: "The international terminal at LAX is terrible as far as people being on hand or being able to offer assistance on getting to your next connecting flight. Getting 30 minutes to make a connecting flight that is on the other side of the airport with noone being able to tell you where your connecting flight is is almost impossible. The in-flight entertainment console was broken and was unusable during the flight. It would work for 5 minutes then glitch and the screen would flash until you stowed it away and waited 10 minutes to try again."

Cons: "Told the gate attendant I was flying home for my dad's funeral and if there was anything they could do to move my seat from a middle seat to aisle seat he said not without charging me but I could ask when I boarded the plane. Once the doors were closing I asked the flight attendant if I could move up one row to an open aisle seat she said no not without charging me. I said there's no one in that whole row and I'm flying home for my dad's funeral and could they make an exception I would show them the obituary and funeral brochure if needed I just wanted some space. She got another gate attendant I explained the same thing and he said no. He said the seat will have to remain empty if I wasn't willing to pay for it. I told him r u serious? U r that inconsiderate and heartless as a company. I've already booked 2 flights w United and u can't make an exception as I was in tears he said no nothing. And walked off the flight. This airline is heartless and deserves all the bad publicity it's getting. Horrible horrible service. And the flight attendant Beth did nothing about it after he left."

We then arrived late, which extremely rushed my already super tight transfer in LAX and cause a lot of stress and frustration with the airline."

Pros: "My whole experience was easy and comfortable. A big thank you to the woman who helped me check in at the United kiosk in Sydney. She saw that I was struggling and assisted me until completion. The flight was uneventful, which is really good! I also had the entire row to myself which gave me room to spread out for the 13 hour flight. Great experience:)"
