Whenever there was a change in schedule / plans the captain informed the passengers immediately about what was going on and what would happen next."

Got a hard time on the weight of my carry-on being more than 7kg although I had to point out that my ticket allowed me two bags that were 23kg each - I had nothing to check. Eventually, when I pointed out that I could wear enough of the clothes from the carry on, they agreed to let me take it on. On board, the service was cold, bland and infrequent. The entertainment system lost sound perhaps 20 minutes into the flight."

My wife and I both took note that the flight attendants were "First Class" with emphasis on class. Exceptionally well groomed, but also conveyed genuine concern and helpfulness and at the same time, real workers, energetic and perky. We are bragging to all our friends about the uplifting cultural demeanor of Singapore Airlines. They should all get a pay raise. I will always remember their wonderful service when thinking about our trip to Frankfurt, Germany. Robert"

At any time I was supported by the staff and even if it was busy they constantly had a kindness and smile in their face. I don't fly with any other airline on long distance flights! It was clean and neat on top at any time. I love flying with Singapore airlines. I feel safe and in good hands all around. This is how service should be at any airline! The comfort of the chairs recline and foot rest that raised up was great. The big tray table that tucked away was nice. And side pockets for your stuff was great. The comfort of the bigger seats was just excellent and they looked newer. On my flight back from Frankfurt to NYC that was the best flight I ever have taken."

Pros: "Crew member Alex in the Economy main cabin was wonderful. He tried to memorise as many passenger names as he could as they boarded, and clearly has an amazing capacity to do so. His attitude -- that doing this is worthwhile -- is unusual and highly commendable. He immediately put people at ease. He was attentive, helpful, and very pleasant to all passengers throughout the very long journey. He was a remarkable crew member, turning a journey I had dreaded into one that was memorable."

Cons: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."

The seat was reasonably comfortable, and reclines back a decent way. For how huge the plane was, the boarding process was super fast and efficient!"
Cons: "Seats were still rather cramped for my poor husband, who is 6'3. It is very hard to get out of your seat if you're in a window and all the seats on front are fully reclined, and I am relatively spry! Can't imagine an elderly or debilitated person trying to do so! The in flight movies were great, but you had to use the headphones they provide, and none of the 3 pairs I tried worked well. All had constant static. Although the seats recline far, they also do it abruptly and are hard to get to come back up. The dinner (we had the beef) was not very good. The quality of the ground beef was what you would expect from a fast food place. The worst part of the flight was that the sat ALL the infants in the same area on the plane, and all right around us. 5 of them, to be exact. 17 hours of on and off screaming babies! My husband had to move to a different seat to get some sleep! Thankfully, I can sleep through anything. Overall, less terrible than I expected a 17 hour flight to be, but could have been better. Some crew were very nice and helpful and others not so much. The first woman my husband asked told him (rather abruptly) that he wouldn't be able to use his CPAP machine. Then a really nice guy helped him get it set up. The turbulence was a bit scary for me, and the way the captain would announce it didn't help! He'd just say "all passengers and crew be seated and fasted your seat belts" in a rather grim tone as the plane shook violently."

Cons: "Nothing"

Cons: "I landed in Sydney but had a Qantas connecting flight to Melbourne. The baggage was checked in at Dallas thru to Melbourne. You need to drop off the baggage back to Qantas after clearing Customs in Sydney. Unfortunately Qantas makes you walk quite a long distance to to baggage drop off point. The experience made me think of experiences I have had in developing countries. I expected more thoughtful logistical arrangements from Qantas in Australia."

Pros: "Fantastic crew on the upper deck who were trying everything they could to make me and my partner comfortable while trying to find a replacement seat with working TV equipment."
Cons: "Seats very narrow, passengers behind kicking seats because not happy that I needed to recline to sleep. Failing equipment - the TV wouldn't operate on original seat, and on new seat, the touch screen didn't work on the entire left side of the screen. The only reason I flew qantas was because I thought they had better equipment. Crew on lower deck clearly not as dedicated to service. After being moved here in the hopes of getting a new seat with a working entertainment system I knew the service would be worse - and it was."

Pros: "It was nice that the flight was not full and we were able to stretch out in neighbouring seats. It was nice that the lights were left low for longer than a night's sleep, as not everyone wants to sleep at the same time on such a long flight."
Cons: "The food service was slow, and refills were not offered as has been the case on many other trans Pacific flights I have been on. Also we did not receive the mid flight snack that was listed on the menu. The meals themselves were not as tasty, varied, nor as filling as those on Fiji Airways and United Airlines. My dinner had only pasta with sauce in the container, with no other vegetable offered. I was still hungry after eating my breakfast, and I was only offered tea, when I expected both a choice of juice and tea."

Cons: "The seats were small so the overweight person next to me used up a lot of my personal space."

Pros: "Almost 17h is a LOOOONG flight, so it could have been awful... Thankfully it was not crowded, though, so I had a centre row to myself! Actually managed to get more than 4h of sleep. Loved the SkyCam, especially since we followed the full moon all the way."

However, I was not the one canceling the flight and re-booking - that is their problem and after so much loyalty for years I feel like I should have gotten some kind of upgrade for free...If I have to cancel - I have to pay fees - but if they cancel - I lose ...despite being a very loyal SkyMiles customer. I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. It needs to be a two-way"

Cons: "Because we were diverted to JFK for "Weather" even though LaGuardia is only 9.6 miles away, and it was 11:30pm by the time we landed. The only flight to Manchester was the next night and would have gotten us to Manchester by 6pm. I had to rent a car at midnight and drive the four hours to be able to attend the reunion I was flying up for."

Cons: "Multiple delays, from 8:15 to 8:49 to 9:05 to 9:39 to 10:12 to 10:19 to 10:25. I am not joking. Honestly, if the delay is due to 'maintenance' for an incoming plane that has not left its originating destination, why quote any time at all? The check in rep did provide an announcement at 8:15 that although the time of departure had moved to 9:05 , he did not see how that was possible since our plane was on the ground in Richmond undergoing maintenance. I was in LGA. When I heard that, I changed to another flight, so the outcome was not as bad as it could have been. I am aware of these other times since my email is packed with Delta's notifications, which I welcome usually."
