Pros:The crew was cordial and helpful, and my seat was fine.
Pros:We opted for the extra leg room and found the seats surprisingly comfortable. I was expecting a no frills flight but not only were the meals included, there was free wine, beer and whisky. Also, they had a big selection of movies and tv shows to choose from which displayed on individual screens. They handed out little packets with ear buds and sleep masks as well, also free. The flight attendants were pleasant.
Cons:Our flight was three hours late leaving, but I don't know that it was the airline's fault.
Cons:Pilot informed us the reason for the delay was the original plane broke (that's fair) but the spare was undergoing a scheduled engine change. What? During the busiest time of the year, your maintenance schedules an engine change on the spare? That would be completely unacceptable in every aviation unit I know -- and I know many. Active USAF Colonel.
Cons:I was unable to eat a meal because I have dietary restrictions and couldn't eat meat or cheese. I had signed up for a meal accomodating my needs when I first booked my flight, and did not receive it on the flight. This made the trip miserable, as I had been counting on this meal for half the day.
Pros:Liked having more room as the flight was not full. The plane was not as cramped for leg room as our flight was on the way back to the US. Price paid was good value for the money paid.
Cons:Never made that flight...very disappointed with Air Berlin. I will be avoiding this airline in the future
Pros:One of the softest landings I've experienced. No problems. Loaded passengers from the front and rear of the plane which facilitated getting to our seats in the rear.
Pros:Not much, never on time, boarding unorganized, everyone's carrying on to save on their high baggage check fees. So there wasn't enough space for all.

Cons:Wait time: In Copenhagen, Denmark there was no desk for Air Berlin. I went from one desk to the next before someone could tell me where Air Berlin is stationed in which the Norwegian airline staff not only pointed it out warned me that no one will be there until an hour before boarding. I was given this information at 745AM. I waited in front of the desk until 10AM before someone appeared. Once they appeared I checked in my bag, requested a new boarding pass, because although I checked in online the boarding pass was missing the gate number therefore I had no idea where my flight was departing from. When I took a look at the boarding pass, I observed that there was still no gate number. I pointed this out to the attendant and she stated, that is not available until boarding time and instructed me to proceed to the security check point and to monitor the flight departures for more information. Once completing security check point I went to the nearest information desk, and they too had no information and told me to monitor the boards with departure information. finally at 1035AM which was my boarding time the screen read, Copenhagen to Berlin Gate A. I proceeded to the gate A just to find out my flight was delayed two hours and two hours turned into three. Flight delay after flight delay. My flight time went from 11 hrs. to 21 hrs.
Pros:Service is good. Flight on time.
