Pros:

They treated me very bad they made me wait for 2 hours they were late then changed the book car then wanted to charge me 360 dollars not the amount that was on your application. It was bad I had a child with me and travel bags and the employee refused to use any other type of payment except my credit card which didn’t have that much money I want a compensation for my lost time lost money my agony long wait and missed work day. Unprofessional unacceptable.

Cons:

Hated all aspects and how they treated me really bad and made me wait two hours although I booked a day before didn’t pick us up and still told us to go get coffee while we wait. It was 45 min and extended to two hours then it was a different car and extraaaaaaaa money not the amount on ur app or even close. 360 dollars for whaaaaat???

I made my reservation for MDW, airport location, and was told I made for off site location on Pulaski? Why would I do that if I’m flying into Midway!? I’m not walking or ubering to an unknown location to me.

It was a terrible bad, they have no cars available. They told me I had to wait until there is some returning. And they could not give me any precise time. While I did program the pickup fir 9 am.

Nothing. The staff, the facility, the communication was all extremely poor.

Cons:

I made a reservation only to find out that that does not matter. When I arrived, I was informed that they did not have any cars available and I was 8th in line to receive one. I asked why I was not contacted ahead of time. The manager was clueless and just shrugged. I waited for several hours and wasted money on ubers getting there and back. Never received a car or made it to my destination.

Pros:

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the manager. I asked for a discount because of the tardiness of when my car was available, and he gave it to me without any issue. I had no issue with the local staff and service. It was the company's service that was poor.

Cons:

My car was delivered to me 1.5 hours after my confirmed pick up time because, per the staff, the company had overbooked the location. Very poor and unacceptable planning. I waited outside in standing in the sun for 1.5 hours.

my credit card number was stolen and used within hours of picking up car, giving my credit card info to sixt employees. My credit card co believes it was likely this car rental that took/used my card illegally.

Where to START? My husband carefully researched this and we paid ahead of time with your service. We get to Ohare at 5:30 a.m. and expect a car, ready for us? NOPE. No car for you...you have to get 23 miles all the way downtown Chicago and pick up your car there. Nothing we can do about it, says the SixT agent. No help whatsover. NONE. I wait 5+ hourse for my husband to hire a Lyft to get downtown (23 miles there at CONSIDERABLE cost). He finally gets back to Ohare to pick me and our luggage up about 11 a.m....making a long trip from the West Coast an even longer trip with major headaches, too. Would NEVER recommend SixT to anyone. Nope. No offer of shuttle to get said car. No offer to help at all. Absolutely horrid customer service.

Staff was friendly but did not help me when I called in about the car being dirty on the inside.

Cons:

The car was in disgusting condition and clearly had not been cleaned or sanitized at all. Was not helped when I called into the store to report this. Also, the iPass did not work in the tolls. It was truly an awful experience and I would never recommend this service to someone.

Staff at pickup were friendly, and the person at their 24/7 help line was empathetic when we had a problem

Cons:

Extra fees & car model restrictions for younger drivers not clear online. No way to see how much insurance would cost before you book. When our car's tire was damaged, we had to stand on the side of the highway for 30 min on hold for roadside assistance, only for them to tell us the best they could do was send a local shop (60 minutes away!) to put on the spare. So the roadside assistance isn't really any help. Because they have so few locations, if you have any car issue outside of Chicago/Indianapolis, you're stuck with taking the time to repair the car, paying for repairs upfront and being charged for any extra time you have to rent the car in order to get those repairs. You can't just exchange the car like you could at a larger chain. Untranslated German on their English website.

The staff was very nice. It was super easy quick and easy.

Cons:

That when we picked up the car, the inside had a terrible odor, even in the trunk! We bought three vent air fresheners and placed one in the trunk and two inside the car, which helped. Other than that the car was awesome!

Car did not have annual inspection requested for Canada . Police stopped us and wanted to tow the car. Cruise control was not working, etc.

Drop off location was wrong on my paperwork from avis. After driving around looking for a place that didn't exist I called avis and directed me to drop the car at another location, and then bring keys to another location. Was going to be late after this as we had to walk to the key drop off. Asked them to wait as we'd be 10 minutes late. They said no problem. No one there to accept keys. Called the national number and was told I have to now walk back to the car and take it to another location. Couldn't do that, already late for a flight. Avis pretty much said tough luck. I asked if I could lock the keys in the glove box because I had to get going. Avis said no and that I would be charged additional fees. Whatever. It's just money, but avis customer service is an abomination.

the location deep within the train station was hard to find, and it was a very long walk to get the car.

I put in a reservation on 3/30/22 They left me a voice mail 4/29/22 to tell me they didn’t have the 12 passenger van I needed to go out of town with for the next day . I was pissed my daughter was graduating from college in another state.

Pros:

Proprietor in downtown Chicago was pleasant, and he had the car for us at the promised time (despite small current inventory). Drop-off at BWI worked perfectly, even though we dropped the car off at 2:30 am and there were no personnel on the scene. We simply drove the car onto the lot, left the keys, and were billed appropriately.

Well I am really pissed off to be honest. I ordered the car on the 6th of April 2023 and wanted it the morning after and just for that one day (7th of April). I get confirmation and everything looks good. I get to the place of pickup and the lady at the desk there tells me she has no cars and she's calling 15 other people in my same situation telling them she has no cars for them. Now that's a failing grade right there. The day is ruined for me and my family. I ask her to cancel my order because the only thing she could offer me is a car at 1 pm that day which is half the day gone and we had many things planned to see. So that wasn't going to work. I start looking for other cars to rent and I see there is plenty of cars from Hertz at ORD airport. So I ask the lady if I could just go there and pick up a car? She says she doesn't know because she had been busy calling these 15 people all morning. I would have thought that the best thing to do is to locate available cars and offer the people the option of getting their car at different locations if they don't want to wait until later that day. Anyway at that moment a guy walks passed her holding several car keys and she asks me to wait a second. She talks to him and gets a key from him. She tells me she got a car for me. So kudos to the lady for that. This saved the day for me and my family. However I wasn't told that Hertz would charge me $200 for what I can only assume is some security deposit. I hope I get that very soon. Then the day goes as planned and we had a great time. Except for the smell of hemp in the car, broken lighter and empty coffee cup. But hey...they probably didn't have time to clean it properly to give me the car....so I'm forgiving about that but the person who had it before me was definitely not following the no smoking vehicle rule. Now to the thing that is really pissing me off. Not the fact that I almost didn't get the car I was promised and had a confirmation email about. But the fact that every day after that I'm getting billed $100!!!! Now my guess is that they think I haven't returned the car. I most definitely did and parked it on the second floor because the first floor was full as I was told. I marked the key "2S" like asked if I had to park it on the second floor. And I put the keys in the key box like asked and shown. I checked the key box if the keys actually fell down out of the drawer, which they did. Now I have been charged $559 which is almost 10 times what I was supposed to pay for the car. My credit card is maxed out :( that is seriously annoying, embarrassing and a number of other negative things. So my experience now is this. I don't trust online booking of rental cars. I probably never will do that again.
